    Democrats Shake Up New Milford Government

    NEW MILFORD — On Dec. 1, for the first time in 12 years, a new mayor will take office.
    Democrat David Gronbach won Tuesday’s mayoral election, defeating Republican incumbent Pat Murphy by a vote of 3,490 to 2,986. Write-in candidate Chief Iron Wolf received 14 votes. Turnout was a healthy 45 percent.

    NEW MILFORD — Pat Murphy’s 12-year run as the town’s mayor will soon come to an end.

    Democratic challenger David Gronbach ended the Republican’s bid for a seventh term by garnering 3,490 votes to Murphy’s 2,986 in Tuesday’s election. Write-in candidate Chief Iron Wolf garnered 14 votes.Susan Tuz
